Interconnections
The ease of collaboration over the web is enabling Al to work remotely with filmmakers and musicians in far flung parts of the world - London, Los Angeles, New Zealand and Indonesia, as well as with productions closer to home. Music is still delivered to tight deadlines, as ever, but via fast and secure internet data transfer.

As working methods are becoming more interactive and fluid, work and travel begin to merge - a high spec laptop studio can be brought to any location and set up in less than an hour, allowing immediate interaction with the filmaker or musician in the comfort of their "home" environment. Or music can be adjusted entirely through feedback over the internet, in real time. And of course the traditional spotting session, followed by scoring to fine cut, remains the basis of a tried and tested method that can always be relied upon, when time permits.

The world has sped up, and methods of making music to picture are keeping pace with ever more demanding schedules.

Futurology
With access to this website through Inmarsat satellite broadband, it is now possible to download a film, and upload the finished music from as wild a location as a sailing yacht - far offshore in the Atlantic ocean. Al is preparing to use these technologies on some of the most adventurous projects he has yet been involved with.
