BIO

From an Anglo-French family of musicians, Al’s childhood was shared between the Mediterranean coast of France and a village on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales. He developed a special affinity for the classical guitar, and during his late teens travelled Spain and South America playing and absorbing the music of Flamenco and Latin culture.
He later studied more formally under Michael Lewin (Trinity College, London) and Graham Wade (Leeds College of Music). In London he formed Koubatam, an acoustic band featuring the sensational Creole singer, Claude Martinique. The music was spotted by television producers and Al’s career as a soundtrack composer was set in motion..
